Paul's experience designing across market and product sectors has been enabled and validated by the interpretation, application and integration of reliable research practices into the creative design process.
Most recently, his role as Strategic Manager within Samsung Design Europe was to deliver strategic and creative opportunities and solutions. This required the directing, managing and coordinating of projects and people across sectors and disciplines; from envisioning context for future digital devices, to the creation of the global Design Strategy.
His in-house, in-depth commercial design experience within the globally successful corporate business has been a career enhancing process; experience he is excited to share for the commercial benefit of 1HQ global clients.

dr kishore budha
head of semiotics
Kishore holds an PhD in Semiotics and Cultural Studies and an MA in International Communications from the University of Leeds.
Kishore specialises in uncovering and creating meaning in product brands by uncovering the relationship between technology, humans and culture. He specialises in design innovation, which goes beyond usability, user needs and impairments and creates value in "meaning".
In the 1HQ Product team, Kishore brings skills and expertise in uncovering hidden social and cultural meanings for product design. Kishore is an active researcher and has published book chapters in the fields of technology and popular culture.

Ray has gained vast experience in brand, print and product identity, working with companies that include Hutton Staniford, Workhouse, Murray Brand and the Loewy Group.
Previous clients include BAA, Galiford Try, Celltech, Boots, Broderbund, Cott Beverage, Kensington Technologies, Miller Brewing, Trend Micro Inc, DSGi and Mundipharma International.
Ray has won awards from Clio and Graphic Design USA. He works as an integrated part of the 3D team developing graphic communications specific to product.

stu banham
Senior Design Manager
Stu graduated from Coventry's world famous Transport Design course in the early 1990's and has spent the interim period working in-house for
Electrolux Ltd and with UK agencies PDD Group, JPA Design and Opius Ltd.
He has accumulated experience across numerous sectors including consumer electronics, automotive, healthcare, medical devices and FMCG, as well as commercial and industrial goods. Key clients have included Electrolux, Reckitt Benckiser, Unomedical, Nestle, Singapore Airlines, VW and Ford.
Stuart's skills include user-centred research and trends foresight which he is able to analyse and translate into compelling design solutions as
illustrated by recent international design awards including IF and the DBA Design Effectiveness Award.

senior product designer
Lee graduated from Coventry University in 2002 and has gained vast project experience working across multiple sectors including FMCG, consumer product, medical devices, toys and luggage.
Lee has helped design and develop numerous products for clients including DSGi, Mundipharma International, Dairycrest, Reckitt Benckiser, Unilever, Crayola and SSL.
As a designer and project manager at 1HQ, Lee's experience ensures strong relationships with both clients and manufacturing partners to help deliver creative and innovative products and systems to mass market.

sarah clark
product designer / design analyst
Sarah graduated from Northumbria University, with first class honours in Design for Industry, before spending four years at London based product design consultancy PDD. As a member of the 1HQ Product team Sarah's skills bridge research and design covering semiotic cultural analysis, trends
foresight, and user-centred research as well as industrial design. Sarah has experience across many sectors including FMCG, telecoms, healthcare, consumer electronics, apparel and commercial & industrial goods.
In semiotic analysis Sarah's design experience ensures that new product directions are seamlessly understood and implemented by the client and the 1HQ design team alike. Sarah's recent work includes semiotic analysis of medical device categories, and FMCG markets, plus trends forecasting for mobile communication, television markets and footware futures.

brand communications / trend analyst
Sarah works on trends and consumer research within the Semiotics team at 1HQ. She has worked on key FMCG, retail and technology projects involving trends research and discourse analysis for clients including GSK, Proctor & Gamble, Unilever and Nestle.
She specialises in information design in addition to her experience in facilitating creative workshops.
Sarah has a specific design and brand communication background and brings strong skills in creativity and inspiration to the research
process, which helps translate the rigour of semiotic and trends research into actionable ideas.
